It’s been an amazing 6 weeks ride at My Freelance Headquarters. The need to reskill brought me in contact with this great learning platform where you are taught one of the most in-demand skills and how to monetize those skills using various freelance and remote jobs platforms.
Below is a detailed experience in the last weeks as a trainee at the academy.
Firstly, the teacher, in person of Oladayo Adeniyi introduced us to digital marketing and its why. In the first class, we also learnt the objectives of digital marketing and importance.
Then in subsequent classes, we went on to discuss various aspects of digital marketing and how each helps businesses and brands achieve the four major objectives of digital marketing.
Subsequently, I learned social media marketing, digital buying, Search Engine Optimization/ Marketing, Email Marketing, google Analytics, Facebook Ads and the rest. In all, the training has been so effective, educative and informative.
The skills learned are detailed enough to launch me into the world of digital marketing and get me related gigs while i also have the opportunity to learn more and hone my skills.
Finally, this academy has done an amazing job in creating a platform to upskill and reskill youths in order to bridge the unemployment gap in the country thereby giving more opportunities to them to work with any organizations of their choice without having to worry about their location around the globe.
Top skills such as Digital marketing, Data Analysis, and Freelance Writing can be learned from the comfort of your and they will take you from beginner to expert level within the space of 5 weeks.
It is an opportunity that deserves to be shouted across social media where internet users especially teenagers and youths can see and make a good use it.

I came across My Freelance Academy through @gbengaabiyi on Twitter. I have written some articles, but I felt I don’t know enough yet.
Mr. Gbenga told me the price and he gave me a good discount.
I paid early, so it was a long while before the classes started, but when it started, it was worth every penny.
It was made so easy and simplified, even a toddler can have a grasp of what we were being taught.
Our facilitators were top-notch and very responsive whenever we ask any questions.
Mr. Gbenga taught us the rudiments when it comes to upwork, how to open an account, drafting of proposals, profile optimization, and how to get instant approval. This is something most people deal with, but with his explanations and materials provided, it was seamless.
The program coordinator is very active, he organizes the class and ensured we got our materials before each class. Despite the time difference (3hours), he kept me updated on the classes and made sure I got videos for each class I missed.
I have gotten 2 clients and I have completed their jobs and they were very satisfied with the service I rendered. (I got paid, of course).
I just got my third client as at the time of writing this.
There’s no doubt, Mr. Gbenga and his team have an in-depth understanding of how freelancing works

Registering for this Academy was the best decision I made for myself so far in the year 2021.
At the end of 2020, my service year was coming to an end, and I was uncertain of what awaits me after Passing Out. I followed Mr Gbenga’s posts on Facebook for a few years, and I reached out to him.
I joined the academy, and Lessons Started. I was exposed to various techniques in my skill. The facilitators really know their onions and shared their pool of knowledge.
I have had my Upwork account for almost 4 years and abandoned it. With tips from Mr Gbenga and the aid of materials given, my Upwork account got approved.
Joining the academy was an investment I’m really glad I made.
