I get the ”I want to be a freelancer, help me” line very often, to answer each request one after the other can be a daunting task.

Instead, I will be answering that question here in a simple way.

How to be a Freelancer (With FREE Materials to guide you)

There are two important things you need to have: 

1 Skills you want to offer.

2. Understanding how freelancing works.

Skills

If you don’t have any skills, you will need to scale through no. 1, before you can tackle no. 2 above. And if you do have the skills, you need to master how to freelance; it is a skill too on its own.

You need a skill as a freelancer as this is what you would be hired for (whether it’s from different job marketplaces e.g Upwork, Fiverr, Toptal, etc, your website or social media platforms).

Examples of skills include content writing, graphic design, data science & analytics, digital marketing, software development, and so on (the list is endless).

Understanding how freelancing works

Even if you already have a digital skill, there are terms, tips, and processes in freelancing too. I have a lot of success stories because I helped my students master the no. 2 skill (freelancing); most people struggle without a guide. 

Have the two skills (your digital skill and freelance skill), and you are good to go.
